wine cellar and apartment

Prior to purchase, we were never able to locate a key to the upstairs apartment. Since last posting, we were able to gain access to that space by climbing through on of the front windows. Although the rear two rooms of the apartment have fallen into the basement, the rest of the space is reasonable intact and is precious and spacious. Restoring occupancy to this space is presently a priority. We have also been removing damaged portions of flooring in the first floor. Through those newly created holes, we were able to gain access to the basement. The rear exterior access door and stairs from the first floor have been blocked by fallen portions of the first floor, the above mentioned two rear rooms of apartment and the rear portion of the roof. Prior to gaining access to the basement, I was under the impression that the basement would have an earth floor that would follow the general grading of the lot. I was pleasantly surprised that the entire space is dug out with 9-foot ceilings and a concrete floor. More photos of these two spaces to follow next week.
